The Basic Rust Removal Ways to High Pressure Boiler Steel Pipe


Using solvent and emulsion is to clean the surface of high pressure boiler steel pipe so as to remove oil, grease, dirt, lubricants and similar organic matters. But cleaning can’t remove rust, scale and welding flux of surface, hence it is a supplementary means in the anti-corrosion production.

►Cleaning rust with tool

It mainly uses the steel brush to polish high pressure boiler pipe surface. This method can remove loose or cock scale, rust and slag etc. Hand tools can achieve Sa2 level, while power tool can achieve Sa3 level. If iron oxide adheres on the surface of high pressure boiler steel pipe, cleaning rust with tool is not an ideal means, because it cannot reach anchor pattern depth of anti-corrosion construction requirements.


Pickling usually adopts chemical and electrolytic methods. Pipeline anti-corrosion only using chemical pickling can remove scale, rust and old coating, sometimes can be used as reprocessing after blasting.
